Mama said Knock you out!

Slick ROCK Cover By Ivan Moody and the 5FDP Crew!
It's about time Five Finger Death Punch is bringing that FULL RAP STYLE completely into their sounds...It just makes sense!

Alternative Hip Rock has become a Genre of Music!
Like there aren't 1000s of genres already, right? :-P

Check this out - from an old LL COOL J song...One that I personally grew up loving. Now, I love both versions. Thanks 5FDP & Tech N9NE for bringing this classic back! \nn/

Small preview in this video - listen at the end:

You also gotta check out the new cover they did on "The Wrong Side of Heaven and the Righteous side of Hell Vol 2."

They pulled off something sick! WOW! -- House of the Rising Sun ... Really??...Yep! ...And they really modernized it without ruining the original feeling of the song. Amazing!!! Kudos to Five Finger Death Punch!! Also, take a listen at the song "Matter of Time". Another STRONG SONG from that album!!

Waiting for the End of Linkin Park

Back in early 2009, Linkin Park announced they were working on a 4th studio album, which was planned to be released in 2010. Mike Shinoda told IGN that the new album would be 'genre-busting,' building off of elements in Minutes to Midnight. He also mentioned that the album would be more experimental and "hopefully more cutting-edge." Chester Bennington also addressed the media to confirm that Rick Rubin would return to produce the new album. They later called this album, "A Thousand Suns".

While working on the new album, Linkin Park worked with Hans Zimmer to produce the score for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. The band released a single for the movie entitled "New Divide". Joe Hahn created a music video for the song, which featured clips from the film. After completing work for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, the band returned to the studio to finalize their album.

A Thousand Suns was released in September. The album’s first single, "The Catalyst", was released one month later. The band promoted their new album by launching a concert tour, which started in Los Angeles right around the release date of the album. Linkin Park also relied on MySpace to promote their album, releasing two additional songs, "Waiting for the End" and "Blackout" in September.

Here's the song, Waiting For The End:

Take A Look Around with Fred Durst

Limp Bizkit has been driving the rap-rock aka rap/metal (Alternative Hip Rock) genre for over 15+ years now. Formed in Jacksonville, FL in 1995, the band achieved mainstream success with their second album Significant Other, released in 1999.

Limp Bizkit has now sold an estimated 33 million albums worldwide.

This video below was rarely shown in the States. Fred Durst has stated that he disliked the video - despite the fact that he directed it - and the band decided to release the video only in a few markets outside the U.S., specifically Europe.

Mission Impossible II Theme -- This song is *only available* on their 3rd Album, "Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water.

Feeling Very *Sublime* Today

Sublime was one of the most popular bands of the third wave of ska, specifically characterized as ska punk. Their genre-blending mash-up style incorporated elements of dub, reggae, first-wave and second-wave ska, punk rock, rockabilly, improvised dancehall, hip hop, psychedelic rock and acoustic rock, which they developed through their live shows.

Sublime - Doin' Time (Summertime)

Through samples, lyrics, and covers, Sublime makes reference to an eclectic mix of bands from the 1960s through the early 1990s.

Bob Marley and associated Jamaican reggae acts The Wailers, and Peter Tosh feature prominently in Sublime's songs, as do other Jamaican reggae and dancehall acts such as Born Jamericans, Toots & the Maytals, The Melodians, Wayne Smith, Tenor Saw, Frankie Paul, The Wailing Souls, Barrington Levy, Half Pint, Frank Zappa and Yellowman.

Sublime was also heavily influenced by the 1980s and 1990s hip-hop and rap scene of Los Angeles and New York City, alluding to or borrowing from such acts as N.W.A and Eazy-E (who died 14 months before Nowell), the Beastie Boys, Just-Ice, Public Enemy and Flavor Flav, KRS-One, Doug E. Fresh, Too $hort, Mobb Deep, as well as the Philadelphia-based rapper Steady B and Texas hip-hop The Geto Boys.

Linkin Park is Always At Their Best

I've been listening to the old Linkin Park for years now and I still can't get enough of their sounds. Both Hybrid Theory and Meteora are addicting. Here's one from the Meteora Album. Don't Stay:

After the Hybrid Theory Album came out, Alternative Hip-Hop Rock was born.
Thanks LP!
