Mama said Knock you out!

Slick ROCK Cover By Ivan Moody and the 5FDP Crew!
It's about time Five Finger Death Punch is bringing that FULL RAP STYLE completely into their sounds...It just makes sense!

Alternative Hip Rock has become a Genre of Music!
Like there aren't 1000s of genres already, right? :-P

Check this out - from an old LL COOL J song...One that I personally grew up loving. Now, I love both versions. Thanks 5FDP & Tech N9NE for bringing this classic back! \nn/

Small preview in this video - listen at the end:

You also gotta check out the new cover they did on "The Wrong Side of Heaven and the Righteous side of Hell Vol 2."

They pulled off something sick! WOW! -- House of the Rising Sun ... Really??...Yep! ...And they really modernized it without ruining the original feeling of the song. Amazing!!! Kudos to Five Finger Death Punch!! Also, take a listen at the song "Matter of Time". Another STRONG SONG from that album!!

Five Finger Death Punch

Okay. It took me a while to get back to blogging about music. I know, I know. Thankfully, I have been falling in love with a ton more bands lately. So many different bands I can't even begin to start writing them all down. I will start blogging about each one though -- slowly. .

Five Finger Death Punch (also initialized as 5FDP) is an American heavy metal band from LA. I lived out there for about 3 years and still want to move back eventually. They formed in 2005, the group's name is derived from classic oriental martial arts cinema. The band originally consisted of vocalist Ivan Moody, guitarist Zoltan Bathory, guitarist Caleb Bingham, bassist Matt Snell and drummer Jeremy Spencer. Bingham was replaced by guitarist Darrell Roberts in 2006, who was then replaced by Jason Hook in 2009. Bassist Matt Snell departed from the band in 2010 and was replaced by Chris Kael in 2011. Their debut album The Way of the Fist was released in 2007.

Following its release the band began achieving success rapidly. The 2009 follow-up album "War Is the Answer" further increased their popularity. This album blows my mind. Ivan Moody's voice is one of the best rock voices I've heard in a very long time. This song off their newest album, "American Capitalist" has got to be my favorite song from the band. Even though I love every one of their songs produced. I do have some favorites and here is one of them. This is the official video! Peace.

Everybody jumps from the sound of the shotgun

In April 2011, Fred Durst (on twitter) informed fans that a meeting between the band and their record label (Interscope) had taken place. Fred described the meeting to have 'went awesome', and gave the official release date for Gold Cobra, that being in June, 2011. This was later confirmed by Interscope. Durst concluded his tweet by saying 'Time for videos.' Just days later, when asked by a fan via Twitter 'when is the single going to be released?', Durst replied with "they say the singles come soon in May." The lead single, "Shotgun," was then released on iTunes.

Everybody jumps from the sound of the shotgun
Yeah in my neighborhood, everybody got one!

Chris Cornell is the Highway

Pearls that swim the rift of me
Long and weary my road has been
I was lost in the cities
Alone in the hills
No sorrow I feel
For anything I feel yea

I am not your rolling wheels
I am a highway
I am not your carpet ride
I am the sky

Friends and liars
Don’t wait for me
Cause I’ll get on
All by myself
Put millions of miles
Under my heels
And still too close to you
I feel

I am not your rolling wheels
I am the highway
I am not your carpet ride
I am the sky
I am not your blowing wind
I am the sky here
I am not your automn moon
I am the night
The night

I am not your rolling wheels
I am the highway
I am not your carpet rag
I am the sky
I am not your blowing wind
I am the lightining
I am not your automon
I am the night

Getting Disturbed, Hearing Voices in my head

David Draiman briefly talked about the band's 5th studio album, stating that the album will be as dark as their previous album, Indestructible, if not darker. Draiman also stated that the album is still identifiably Disturbed, but showing more maturation. Judging by Draiman's feelings on the last few years of his life, that Disturbed's new album will be aggressive, angry, and "hard-hitting", but will be similar to their album Believe.

In March of 2010, the band released a reissue of their debut album, The Sickness, with the B-side tracks "God of the Mind" and "A Welcome Burden", updated artwork, as well as remastering and remixing the track list. It was also available for the first time in vinyl format. One month earlier, Harmonix announced a second Disturbed pack for download on the Rock Band music store, containing the remastered versions of "Voices", "The Game", and "Meaning of Life".
